I have to use a wood or plastic dowel as a punch to get it to a full 90 degrees. My P320 Compact's takedown lever requires only a reasonable amount force to move, but my Subcompact's lever requires an insane amount of force. Then, I use my P320 compact and sub compact's own takedown lever as a tool to pry up the lower front of the trigger group from the grip. There is a notched out area in the inside of the grip that lets me get the take down lever's outside facing arm (the flat part of the takedown lever) underneath the lower front of the trigger group.. It should be holding the sear down. Yep this was the problem. The takedown safety level hooks around a little pin in the rear end of the FCU. This little pin is what move the sear up/down.
